(yes, the end of this masscast is cut off.
we're bikers, w
hatchoo want?!)

--> vancouver
most conservative under-estimate of participants: 1,835. after scientific number crunking, the realistic count is 2,050 peebles! plus 20 dogs. many children too, starring
echo the wunderkinder & at least 3 minibikes. see photos & videos at the dynamic critical mass blog.

do you think our cops were naughty or nice? give our boys & girls in blue positive/negative reinforcement at vpd@vancouver.ca

--> victoria
their massers were sucked into the vancouver vortex. we love you, island of sin! the recyclistas & bike laboratorians kept our pack meaty!

--> winnipeg
we freakin love the 'peg. unfortunately, so do wargames-types & rudy giuliani (sic sic sic!). cops love them so much they mashed them like little free-thinking potatoes a couple masses in a row. bad cop, bad bad. pick on somebody your own antiquity. arresting a big blue teddy bear may be the dumbest PR move ever.

read about the shiznit on
dada world data (has photos & videos too. be warned, video #1 & #3 might make your fists cramp into a longterm clench). mainstream coverage can be found at canada.com or cbc.

their june ride was 400+! (with no hills! it's like bike heaven!)

--> seattle
packing's county sherriffs were especially naughty this month. tut tut, hitting isn't nice, even if the other kids won't play with you. seattle bikers sing like canaries on our show. read what the bikers are saying, or check the media coverage about it in the stranger, seattle p.i., & seattle k-5 tv.

here's
david horsey's latest eddy cartoon onnit:
-->portland
despite past police naughtiness, & the recent first-ever arrest on a world naked bike ride, p'land's june mass was a fine honey breeze anointing the brow of a sleeping bull. almost a hundred bikes attended. agent lapis' report is just in (her bike was recently smucked by a car, but with a new wheel, she is once again rokkin the casbah):

"mass was fun, it was especially good after getting hit -- being out & visible, doing a little corking. turnout was the smallest i've seen for a summer mass, maybe half the size of the kickoff parade. very few people i actually know.

"there was maybe seven police. they left us at around 15th & hawthorne to pull over a car that ran a red and then we could cork and enjoy ourselves."

phil sez: "i think pdx is willing to let the mass linger in boredom for a bit, the good news is that this was the smallest number of police in recent history." saweet!

...if you want to impress that special somebiker, or you just wanna know where we've been, check out the history of cm or the wikipedia cm entry...

& in tribute to billy bob, we will be spinning the volcanic johnny hallyday, "le demon du rock." if you look carefully, you can see the little cyclist trying hard to get out. regard the white knuckles. so close! and yet so rarrrr

p.s. if you like bikes & live around vancouver, you should think about joining the velolove mailing list. if you have q's or a's or p's or q's, email us at pedalrevolutionary at gmail dot com. for other events listings, check out the b.e.s.t. calendar & momentum magazine.
